Matinees for high school students at One World Romania 11

During the One World Romania Documentary and Human Rights Festival, high school students and teachers are invited to join us at Cinema Eforie, where we’ll be screening some of the latest documentaries on human rights!

The theme that brings together the films in this year’s selection is education, as seen from several perspectives. From sexual education to alternative educational systems, from women's rights to those of refugees, from civic education to philosophical education, each film can be an occasion to learn a special lesson about contemporary society.

After each screening, a guest of the festival - a director, producer, or an expert on the subject - will discuss issues related to the subject of the film and human rights with the students. This way, these events are a perfect occasion for young people to access new information, along with a context to debate and analyze them. The Q&A sessions are a means to cultivate values such as sincerity, critical thinking and curiosity in young people, encouraging them to express their opinions and training their civic spirit.
