We have a big year ahead of us at One World Romania at School, so we're busy preparing for some of the biggest projects of our year: the High School Students Jury and the High School Film Clubs. And what better way to start the year than setting our eyes on some of those who matter the most in our activities: the teenagers themselves!

luna.doc#5, a month of documentary films in high schools where we discussed the rights of women in Romania and beyond, has ended.

Starting in October, we launched a new series of teacher training workshops – meetings which encourage the use of documentaries in the classroom, along with sharing different methods in which these films can be used to act as a complementary element in education.

Between October 22nd and 25th, along with our friends from Mai Mult Verde, we organized a caravan of documentary films that traveled across the country, in order to talk about the topic of food waste to high school students.

For the One World Romania at School team, 2018 was a year full of projects, some new, some continuing the work of flagship projects.

The fifth edition of luna.doc, a One World Romania at School project, has just begun - in an edition that aims to open up discussions about women's rights, both in Romania and at an international level.

Between the 5th and 9th of November, students from several high schools in Bucharest were able to observe how people spend their day-to-day lives and holidays during the communist era - with seas, rivers, sunshine, mountains, and roads passing through a country undergoing a deep and complicated process of urbanization and development.

We had a summer filled with wonderful screenings in the backyard, and we would have gone on for much longer if the autumn hadn’t come, which is packed with events in high schools across the country.
